Course Specific Fee 2022-2023
If your department or program desires to propose a new fee or modify an existing institutional fee that students pay, please review the Institutional Fee Plan (Policy 11-12) and follow the procedures as described. Please note that any charge to a student other than tuition, room/board charges, deposits, or fines is considered a student fee and is subject to the process described in the Institutional Fee Plan. Be sure to review the current list of mandatory and course specific fees for the 2020-21 academic year.
Please contact Michele Peterson for budget information connected to a fee request before submitting your request. Complete proposals are due no later than 5:00pm, Friday, October 2 (disregard the date on the form, please). Please note that proposals require the approval of the appropriate Dean and Provost (for all proposals originating from an academic department) or respective Vice President prior to submission so plan accordingly. After your proposal is submitted you will be contacted to schedule a presentation at an Institutional Fee Review Board meeting in late October/early November. IFRB is a student-majority board that is made up of ASFLC members and students-at-large. All institutional fees approved through this process will be implemented for the 2021-22 academic year (beginning fall 2021).

Complete proposals should be sent (electronically preferred) to Mark Mastalski, director of the Leadership Center (IFRB chair), in 171 Student Union. Feel free to contact Mark (x7452) should you have any questions.
Curriculog - Curriculum Management System
Curriculog automates the process of curriculum approval, helping colleges and universities to approve course and program changes and improve communication about the curriculum across campus.
Accessing the System
Anyone may view proposals in the list to the left without signing in. By clicking on the View icon, you can see the proposal's progress. As a guest you may also view all published agendas for Curriculum Committee and Faculty Senate. You do not need to login to view these.
If you are a member of the curriculum review process and you need to enter proposals or decisions, you must click on the “login” link on the top, right side of the screen before accessing your proposals. You will use your CAS login information.
Important Curriculum Information
Changes that can be made outside the formal approval process:
-Changing the semester a course is offered (departments may use the regular course scheduling process. If the term offered is specified in the course description, this should be updated during the departmental editing of the Catalog of Courses).
-Editorial rewriting of course descriptions (may be done during catalog edits prior to publication of the Fall course schedule and corresponding Catalog of Courses).
-Reinstatement of previously deleted courses (see the Curriculum Approval Procedures document on the Provost web page for more information).
