This traditional lecture format course must be taken together with MATH 105.  The content of this course has been designed to help students with remedial needs be successful in MATH 105.  Successful completion of MATH 100 does not guarantee that a student has met the gtPathways requirement for an MA1 course.

This will appear exactly as entered in the catalog. Limit to 60 words, ensure entire description is in present tense.

  • Proposal Description & Rationale*

MATH 100 – change title from “SAI in College Mathematics” to “SAI in Quantitative Reasoning”.

    • This change is to accompany the change in title of MATH 105 from “College Mathematics” to “Quantitative Reasoning.”  MATH 100 is a 1-credit course supplemental to MATH 105.
Why are you proposing this? Be concise, but thorough. IF you are proposing a special topics course, how many times has the topic been offered? (Topics can only be offered twice before needing approval as a standalone course)
  • This Change*
Is *non-substantive* if you are only changing prereqs, coreqs, concurrent enrollment, instructional format, cross-listing, course title, or creating a new special topics course. All other changes are substantive.
  • Impacts to other programs AND/OR other proposals in larger proposal package

A catalog search indicated that the only place the title will need to be changed is just in the name of the course.
