    The Certificate in Ski Resort Operations was built at a time when the Human Resources department at Purgatory Resort had made a verbal commitment to building an internship program. The internship program never came to fruition and many students have taken the 3 required online classes but have failed to earn the certificate due to their inability to complete the internship requirement. This proposal will modify the requirements of the certificate to include the Ski Resort Internship within a set of other relevant electives, to open additional pathways to certificate completion.   Proposed Changes are: Required: BA 131 Introduction to Resort Management BA 335 Ski Resort Operations BA 336 Ski Resort Management   Choose 1 elective: BA 330 Tourism & Hospitality Management BA 334 Sustainable Tourism BA 430 Critical Issues in Tourism & Hospitality Management BA 447 Ski Resort Internship BA 499 Independent Study GEOG 235 Weather and Climate GEOL 470 Snow Science AE 242 Avalanche Level 1 and Rescue AE 243 Avalanche Level 2
