    Cultural Resource Management (CRM) is a well-established and growing field within anthropology, incorporating individual practitioners from all of the subfields of anthropology. This certificate provides career-defining training in the legal framework and practical aspects of contemporary CRM, providing recipients with a competitive advantage in the CRM industry job market.

    Tandem proposal: This certificate replaces the Cultural Resource Management Concentration within the major and needs to be considered alongside the deletion of that option.

    Impacts: The CRM certificate includes GEOG 310 as a requirement. This is a course that anthropology students commonly took as part of the CRM Concentration and/or for the GIS certificate. The CRM certificate requirement should not result in a significant change in enrollment by anthropology students in GEOG 310.
